It is fully understood that pupils take dance classes as a hobby and their enjoyment and happiness is of the utmost importance.  Pupils do not have to take exams and assessments but they have the opportunity to and they are popular with most.  Regular exams and assessments provide an ideal benchmark for pupil progress and technical ability,  pupils also enjoy the sense of achievement and technical development.   bbodance examinations, assessments and performance awards are available for children and adults - these are available for pupils who show enthusiasm, dedication, consistency and excellent attendance.

We have a 100% pass rate & all pupils who have taken exams have passed with Merits or Distinctions.

The British Ballet Organization was established in 1930 and is a Dance Awarding Organization offering teacher training and examinations in classical ballet, tap, modern and jazz.  Its qualifications are offered throughout the UK and abroad and are recognised by the regulatory authorities for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) / OfQual.  The BBO is a validated Awarding Organization of the Council for Dance Education and Training.  The organization is currently undergoing rebranding and lots of exciting changes and is now known as bbodance.
